Acceptable Use Policy

1. Purpose

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") outlines prohibited activities when using the Crovly captcha service. Violation of this policy may result in immediate suspension or termination.

2. Prohibited Uses

You may not use Crovly to:

  • Protect websites that host illegal content or engage in unlawful activities
  • Circumvent or attempt to circumvent rate limits or verification mechanisms
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the widget or API
  • Distribute, resell, or sublicense the Service without authorization
  • Use verification tokens from a different IP address than the one that solved the challenge
  • Operate human farms or automated solving services against Crovly-protected sites
  • Generate fraudulent verification traffic to manipulate analytics or billing
  • Interfere with the Service infrastructure, including denial of service attacks

3. API Usage

  • API keys must be kept confidential and not shared publicly
  • Requests must include valid site keys and conform to documented API formats
  • Excessive or abusive API usage may be rate-limited or blocked

4. Self-Hosting

Self-hosted deployments (Pro plan and above) must comply with the same usage restrictions. Self-hosting licenses are non-transferable and limited to your own domains.

5. Reporting Abuse

If you believe a Crovly-protected site is violating this policy, please report it to [email protected].

6. Enforcement

We may investigate suspected violations and take action including warnings, temporary suspension, or permanent termination. We are not obligated to provide notice before taking action against clear violations.
